Huddly Crew has achieved certification for Microsoft Teams in medium-sized and large spaces.
The AI-directed multi-camera system was showcased by Crestron and Shure, as well as Huddly itself, at ISE.
The system, which was launched last January, features three 6K network cameras that work together to capture participants from multiple angles.
At the heart of the system is Huddly Director, an AI-powered technology that edits a meeting in real time, switching between various shots and angles for a dynamic and engaging experience.
To enhance flexibility in hybrid spaces, the ability to select different modes for different meeting types is being added to Huddly Crew.
Speaker Mode, which has been designed for structured meetings, identifies the primary speaker and ensures the cameras remain focused on them. In the event of interjections, the system switches to an overview shot while maintaining the speaker’s visibility.
Conversation Mode directs attention to all meeting participants, including shots that showcase listener reactions. This mode is best suited to team meetings and collaboration.
The company’s chief commercial officer, Fraser Park, said: “Microsoft Teams is a vital collaboration platform for our customers, and we’re thrilled that organisations of all sizes can now confidently choose Huddly Crew to configure their meeting spaces for effective hybrid work experiences.
“We are introducing the ability to select different modes on Huddly Crew, directly addressing our customers’ need for adaptability across diverse spaces and scenarios. Speaker Mode will be available in the second quarter of 2024.”
