Huddly has launched a multi-camera system equipped with a built-in AI director.

The Huddly Crew brings the expertise of TV and movie production to the video conferencing industry by utilising an AI algorithm that enables the real-time professional production of video meetings.

The initial kit comprises three Huddly L1 cameras that seamlessly communicate with each other, in a similar way to the way a camera crew would. The cameras capture a host of visual and auditory data points, which the AI director then analyses to determine the optimal shot to display in real time.

The system is compatible with any platform, with a modular design that allows it to be customised to adapt to different room types and scenarios.

Huddly chief executive Graham Williams said: “The Huddly Crew is a game-changer for the industry, leveraging cutting-edge technology to disrupt and revive the market. After three years of intense research and development, we’re excited for our valued partners and customers to experience first-hand how Huddly Crew will change the future of hybrid collaboration, increase productivity and add value to their business.”
