DisplayNote ends care provider’s missing cable misery

DisplayNote’s Montage wireless screen-sharing software makes Caremark’s staff training sessions more interactive, while cutting out HDMI cables reduces session set-up time and equipment costs.

A UK-based organisation that provides home care services has equipped its staff training room with DisplayNote Montage wireless presentation software.

Caremark, which has more than 100 sites across the UK, provides home support and respite care to children and adults of all ages, including those with physical and learning disabilities.

The company regularly hosts training sessions for groups of between five and 12 staff at its Belfast training facility. During these sessions, trainers and learners rely on sharing content from PowerPoint presentations, websites and videos from their personal devices to the Newline display at the front of the room. The process required HDMI cables, which often went missing.

Installing DisplayNote Montage has removed the need for cables, reducing session set-up time and equipment costs. Trainers are no longer tethered to the front of the room and can now walk around and interact with the trainees.

Screens can be shared from any device in a few clicks. Trainers and learners can join the Montage session on the DisplayNote app or via their browser, allowing them all to screen share regardless of what network they’re on.

The company’s training coordinator, Andrew Caulfield, said the software made training session more interactive, as it allows presenters to show the room exactly what they’re working on, giving more context than a PowerPoint presentation.

“It doesn’t matter if our other trainers forget their HDMI cables, as they can turn up to the DisplayNote-equipped training room and know they can share their content to the big screen in seconds,” he added.
