In 2023, CogX Festival, renowned as the world’s leading festival of inspiration, impact, and transformational change, welcomed 90,000 attendees at its new venue, The O2 London.

The festival featured three summits and an impressive expo.

Leading video technology rental company 80six was commissioned by brand experience creative agency Blonstein, to help deliver the conference at O2, working closely with producer Brian Jones and technical director Matt Spark

The most challenging part of the conference was the tight rig schedule, which had multiple departments loading sequentially in just one day.

80six met the challenge head-on and delivered top-tier video solutions integrated across two stages in a timely manner, working in parallel with rigging, lighting and the staging departments to ensure the event was ready for rehearsals.

On the Global Leadership Summit Stage, prominent figures such as Queen Rania of Jordan and Steven Bartlett took to the stage framed by an expansive 45.6m x 7.8m ROE Visual CB3 LED display, featuring three flown screens, using Brompton Technology SX40 4K LED video processing. To run the full-screen content, 80six deployed three Barco E2-4K Event Masters linked to two disguise VX4+ media servers.

Apple Mac Studio M1’s were deployed to manage PowerPoint and keynote presentations and all the events VT’s. Four Telescope Glass Teleprompt Systems were also provided for the presenters.

ROE LED strips enhanced the stage’s design, using disguise to map full-screen video content across the stage in a manner that was captivating to the eye.

In the O2 Indigo Room, the backdrop for the AI & DeepTech Summit and CogX Awards took the form of a 13m x 4.5m ROE Black Onyx 2.8mm LED screen, angled on the sides at 45 degrees to ensure immersive viewing.

This setup employed Brompton SX40 LED image processors, disguise solo’s for media playback, and integrated Barco S3-4K-Event and Lightware MX2-8X8-HDMI20-L Matrix for video signal processing. 80six also deployed various MacBook Pro M1’s to manage Keynote and PowerPoint presentations.
