Registration has opened for this year’s Media Production & Technology Show (MPTS).
MPTS, which will take place at Olympia London’s Grand Hall from 15-16 May, invites professionals from across Europe to explore the latest technologies and hottest trends in production, audio, remote production, lighting, sports broadcasting and virtual production.
Last year’s record-breaking event attracted 10,000 attendees from 47 countries and more than 300 exhibitors. New exhibitors for this year include Absen, Cinedeck, Nikon and Shure.
Visitors will be able to access more than 250 hours of free-to-attend sessions across seven theatres: Keynote, Production, Broadcast Technology, Post Production, Virtual Production, Audio and, new for 2024, the AI Forum.
BAFTA albert will host a sustainability theatre, following its debut at last year’s event.
The environmental organisation’s head of industry sustainability, April Sotomayor, said: “This year, we aim to empower attendees with the key skills to help transform our industry towards net zero.”
New for this year is the Media Technology Conference, co-produced by the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). This invitation-only forum, which will take place alongside the MPTS exhibition, will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions and networking opportunities.
Also new is the AI Forum, which will offer insights into how AI is affecting the creative sector.
The show’s event director, Charlotte Wheeler, said: “After six incredible years of MPTS, there can be no doubt that this is the destination for the UK’s creatives and technologists to unite and share in the future of the media and entertainment industry.
“MPTS 2024 is expected to be the biggest ever after a record-breaking 2023. It is the opportunity for the broadcast media, production and technology industry to gather to tackle the industry’s most relevant issues.”
