The transfer of Brazilian footballer Neymar to Saudi Arabia has been celebrated with a drone show featuring the player’s face.
Neymar who has joined Riyadh-based Al-Hilal, was introduced to a 60,000-capacity crowd at the King Fahd International Stadium as Al-Hilal drew 1-1 with Al-Feiha in the Saudi Pro League.
Drones depicted Neymar’s face in the night sky, before spelling out “Neymar is blue”, in reference to the club’s colours.
Al-Hilal signed Neymar, who is tied with Pele as the Brazil national team’s highest-ever goalscorer, from Paris Saint Germain for about £86m million. The player will earn £276m over a two-year contract.
