Business-to-business (B2B) distribution, logistics, and supply chain firm Wesco International has announced the worldwide launch of its Conference Room-as-a-Service solution.

Revealed on Monday, the company will demo its subscription-based programme at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2024 from 30 January to 2 February this year.

Wesco Anixter, Wesco’s global brand, aims to serve its customer base worldwide across the Europe, Middle East, and North Africa (EMEA), Asia-Pacific (APAC), and Caribbean and Latin American (CALA) regions.

For those seeking Pro-audiovisual (ProAV) conference and meeting room services, Wesco Anixter’s CRaaS offering allows remote teams to collaborate across locations, whether at the office, at home, or others.

The firm’s CRaaS offering utilises subscription services to evolve and improve its technology stack more smoothly compared to legacy AV systems. Additionally, companies tapping the systems can manage capital expenses (CAPEX) with greater flexibility than with conventional means.

Wesco Anixter tests and configures videoconferencing solutions before shipping them to end users, streamlining implementation processes. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based company will also provide remote monitoring, 24/7 live support, and other amenities through its CRaaS subscription to accommodate end users.

For example, the firm recently deployed its conferencing room services for a fintech and cybersecurity solutions enterprise’s 11 offices, resulting in seamlessly connected communications hubs to facilitate remote working.

The news comes amid a recent survey from consultancy McKinsey, which found that over 56% of employees work using a hybrid working model. This indicates a rising need for sufficient, dependable videoconferencing technologies for the modern-day workforce, no matter their location.

Bill Geary, executive vice president and general manager of communications and security solutions for Wesco, commented: “Not only are expectations and demands for remote and hybrid work flexibility changing, but the network infrastructure and technology powering that connection is also evolving at a rapid pace.”

Geary added that Wesco Anixter would “deliver the latest AV technologies,” where people can scale their solutions, receive a “consistent user experience,” and provide customer support around the world.

The announcement comes after Wesco expanded its CRaaS service in July last year, where it partnered with leading industry companies like Crestron and Logitech.

At the time, Phil Langley, senior vice-president for global enterprise AV and UCC at Wesco, explained that the AV industry was “evolving at a breakneck pace” for customers.

He added: “By partnering with Wesco, organisations around the world can leverage our innovative solutions, deep expertise and global scale to address the collaboration and communications demands of an ever-changing work environment.”
